This rigorous, project-based course is designed to bridge the gap between foundational word processing knowledge and professional-level document production and management. Building upon basic typing and formatting, this curriculum systematically introduces learners to the most potent features of Microsoft Word (Microsoft 365). The course is structured into twelve comprehensive modules, beginning with an in-depth exploration of the advanced interface and customization options, and culminating in a final capstone project that synthesizes all acquired skills. Throughout this program, students will engage with real-world business and academic scenarios, learning to employ advanced styles and multi-level lists to create structurally sound documents. We will progress into long-document management, covering automatic Tables of Contents, footnotes, endnotes, indices, and cross-references—skills essential for thesis writing, legal drafting, and technical reporting. A significant portion of the course is dedicated to collaborative tools, including Track Changes, comments, and document comparison, ensuring you can work effectively in team environments. We also explore data integration through Mail Merge and advanced table manipulation, as well as automation through Macros and VBA. Finally, we address critical professional standards: document security (passwords, restrictions) and accessibility (ensuring documents are usable by individuals with disabilities).
